100 Miles of Istria, Patagonia Run: double pleasure at Ultra-Trail® World Tour

After a one-month break, Ultra-Trail® World Tour comes back in April with five races. After a year of observation, 100 Miles of Istria really enters in the UTWT competition to the delight of the athletes. Patagonia Run is the first race of the South-America continent and one of the new races of the circuit this year. Patagonia Run offers to the Ultra-Trail® World Tour another international dimension.

New landscapes to discover:

Thanks to these two races on two different continents, the UTWT travel promises to be great at the beginning of April.

100 Miles of Istria is a race characterized by a course in two parts, which is very interesting for the athletes. By starting with the mountains, the runners can appreciate on the end of the race the sea view. The athletes entering in this Croatian adventure can also expect a wide variety of landscapes.

Patagonia Run is a specific race located in the heart of Argentina. Only UTWT race in South-America, Patagonia Run alternates between the mountains of Patagonia, the lakes, and the forests. This year, the athletes will have a bigger challenge to overcome.

The leaders prepare for 100 Miles of Istria:

On the women side, the fight promises to be exciting between Francesca CANEPA and Denise BOURASSA, respectively first and third of the 2016 race. These two athletes, who were there last year in Croatia, know well the course and want to show their supremacy.

An intense competition between the Americans and the Italians will shape the race on the men side. Dylan BOWMAN (USA) is largely expected to his rival: his compatriot Ryan GHELFI and the Italian Jimmy PELLEGRINI. Note however that Paul Giblin (GBR) could take advantage on this technical race.

In Argentina, an open race:
