Best memory from trail-running:

It’s really hard to just pick one. Every year at Hardrock is a good time.

Why have you chosen this sport?

I love being in the mountains and running is a simple way to engage directly with nature.

How long have you been running (ultra-) trail races?

8 years

Which is your favourite race of the UTWT? And why?

This year I’m most excited about Western States because of the history and it’s a race that I haven’t done before.

Do you have any recommendations for preparing/running an ultra-trail?

Be consistent and enjoy the process of preparing for the event.

What is your favourite proverb?

“…it’s the small things in life.”

Do you have a habit you always follow before a race?

Not really.

I just prepare for the specifics of the race from the necessary gear, to understanding the course and organizing my check point supplies.
